Special Course to Mark a Decade of Strengthening Women’s Leadership Capacities

We are excited to announce an upcoming Special Women’s Leadership and Management Course that will be held in Nairobi on November 26-28, 2018.

Since 2008, African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) has focused on strengthening women’s leadership capacities as a critical component of hastening agriculture-driven prosperity for Africa. As part of its 10th-anniversary celebrations this year, AWARD has developed a special three-day leadership course targeting women, and designed with the recognition that offering leadership during times of uncertainty requires more than academic credentials.

The three-day course seeks to equip senior women leaders within the agricultural sector with the strategies and skills needed for more impactful leadership.

Senior women leaders in agricultural research and/or development institutions are encouraged to apply.

The tuition for this one-time-only course is US$ 2,000. Participants are expected to fund their airfare, ground transport, accommodation, and meals.

The application deadline is October 25, 2018.
