Soyome Alemayehu is a gender advisor and expert who has worked with the government, private sector, small businesses, and farmers to shape gender-neutral policies. As part of the Ministry of Agriculture’s gender task force, she has also helped draft gender-based policies within certain areas of agriculture, such as irrigation. With the skills learned as an AWARD Policy Fellow, Soyome is looking to transform policy formulation by ensuring that all agriculture policies address gender.
