AWARD's Journey: Some milestones since our founding
October: Hosted a Knowledge Festival and Graduation Ceremony for One Planet Laureates to mark the close of the One Planet Fellowship July: Launched a call for applications for a new Fellowship, "Accelerating African Women’s Leadership in Climate Action," a career development program that aims to increase the number of African women leading climate action. July: Launched the inaugural cohort of 42 Emerging Policy Practitioners to join the GRASP Fellowship mentoring program. June: The AWARD Steering Committee during its 24th mid-year meeting appointed Dr. Siboniso Moyo and Professor Hortense Atta Diallo as the new Chair and Vice Chair of the Committee. May: We welcomed to the One Planet Fellowship a new cohort of 125 early career climate researchers from Africa and Europe.
December: AWARD and partners announced an Innovation Sprint on Accelerating African Women’s Leadership in Climate Action November: Launched new 2023 to 2027 Strategy to boost gender-responsive agriculture in Africa May: The inaugural training and networking week for African and European Learning Partners
