Daif's thesis focuses on a vector-borne disease endemic to Africa and Morocco, namely bluetongue. Her research aims to identify circulating strains of the bluetongue virus in Morocco in hosts (sheep, goats, cattle, and wild ruminants) and in the vector (Culicoides) through sero-epidemiological, entomological, and molecular studies in various Moroccan regions.
