Maye's research interest lies in plant-microorganism interaction, particularly focusing on the beneficial aspects of the endophytic microbiome of plants. Her Master's thesis focuses on isolating and characterizing endophytic bacteria and fungi from 8 varieties of irrigated and rain-fed rice.
