Soil Science & Soil Management
Field of Research
Barro's research aims to improve the physicochemical, nutritional, and biological quality of soils using environmentally friendly methods, particularly through the application of biochar and beneficial microorganisms for tomato plants. This method will reduce the production of greenhouse gases linked to the production of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Additionally, it will provide tomato producers with less expensive and adapted fertilizer formulas tailored to different soil types.
