Jean-Martial Johnson
Benin 2021
Jean-Martial Johnson holds a Master's degree in agronomy from the University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC) in Benin. His research is based on the evaluation of a water-saving technology called Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) on rice fields in sub-Saharan Africa. The study involves testing this technology in areas where water scarcity is a major problem in order to adapt it to local conditions and to assess its potential for widespread adoption in West Africa. He would like to improve his skills in monitoring agro-climatic parameters and managing large databases.
Jean-Martial hopes to become an associate professor at an agricultural research institution that is very active in the field of climate change.
