Ginette Dembele
Mali 2020
Ginette Dembele’s main line of research is based on improving the short- to long-term agroecological sustainability of maize-cotton crops, which are grown widely in southern Mali and are the primary source of income for most of the population. Her aim is to convince producers to invest in using organic materials throughout the entire organic maize/cotton production process. Dembele is aiming to gain sufficient expertise in the technique of fertilisation management for organic farming.
She also plans to continue her PhD in Soil Science, in order to broaden her knowledge while helping to improve farmland management.
