Fidele Bawomon Neya’s research is focused on the sustainable management of crop pests (bio-aggressors).  The purpose of his research is to monitor and diagnose pests, develop and use biopesticides for pest control, develop and disseminate improved crop varieties for pest control, assess pest interaction with the environment and evaluate the impact of pests on agricultural production. Fidele is planning to build his research capacity, in order to effectively develop research on climate-dependent diseases affecting crops and wild plants, to help rural communities
He is also aiming to improve his leadership skills and establish connections with experienced scientists to benefit his institution, as well as advancing his career.
