Tanzania 2020
Elibariki Raheli Nazayoeli is a Research Officer at the Tanzania Industrial Research and Development Organization (TIRDO). Nazayoeli is exploring alternative energy to firewood aimed at helping women get enough time to concentrate on agriculture productions which are now affected by a prolonged drought, flood, and eruption of diseases as the impact of Climate Change. Her research also addresses the dangers posed by open fire to the health of the women, deforestation, and the risks of sexual harassment because of travelling a long distance in search of firewood.
