Bolarinwa Islamiyat Folashade

Bolarinwa Islamiyat Folashade is a food technology expert at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Nigeria. A food scientist with 14 years of research and teaching experience in Food Science, Food Processing and Postharvest Management, Folashade’s research centers on food and nutrition security through value addition to fruits and vegetables, and other perishable crops. Her current research project is aimed at reducing post-harvest losses of food crops, increase their consumption outside the season so that they can enrich the diets of children and pregnant women with micro-nutrients.
Folashade is aspiring to become a renowned researcher and a professor of postharvest technology and climate change, a great leader in her department and institution, and a prestigious mentor to young academia and researchers in Nigeria and the world.
