At African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD), we envision a robust, resilient, and gender-responsive agricultural innovation system working to drive prosperity and food and nutrition security for Africa.
We are seeking an innovative and ambitious new Director to lead us in our quest to equip top African scientists and research institutions with skills that will improve outcomes for Africa’s smallholder farmers as well as strengthening the voice of the continent’s women, on the farm, in the laboratories, in markets, and in policy forums.
AWARD works toward inclusive, agriculture-driven prosperity for Africa by strengthening the production and dissemination of more gender-responsive agricultural research and innovation.
We invest in African scientists and research institutions so that they can deliver agricultural innovations that better respond to the needs and priorities of a diversity of women and men across Africa’s agricultural value chains.
As our new Director, you will provide strategic leadership and management to advance the aims of AWARD as a leading champion for gender-responsive agricultural research. Passionate about our mission, the Director advances our agenda by creatively leading, managing, and engaging target beneficiaries, partners, and staff to catalyze empowering innovation.
Those who may be experiencing insomnia! Anxiety and depression. Mine was the result of extreme past and present trauma. I stopped sleeping completely virtually overnight after a series of traumatic events. I did not sleep for several or more months and began to loose weight rapidly I went from 50 kg down to 32 kg as a result and became very unwell. After taking myself to hospital numerous times I did not find adequate help for my condition there. Eventually I met a very efficient GP and psychiatrist found help from being prescribed a combination of Lorazepam and Ativan https://mediccreview.org/ativan-cctrll-review/. Although I am still on the road to recovery, ativan combination has helped me immensely. I sincerely hope that no one on earth has to experience the living hell that I did, only to find help when it was almost too late.
You will be an innovative and creative leader able to inspire and lead a high-performance team. You will bring a strong capacity to network effectively, negotiate well and influence people across a wide range of sectors. In addition, you will have a strong understanding of, and commitment to, gender equality and the African agricultural research and development landscape.
