A graduate in Ecology and Plant Biology, Yolande Razafindrakoto Leondaris is now considered a key expert in land security in Madagascar. She has been working in the field of rural development for two decades and is particularly committed to taking gender issues into account in all her interventions. As part of the AWARD Policy Fellowship, she hopes to continue helping women living in rural areas transition to agroecology, leveraging women's platforms.
My main goal is to help the emergence of agroecological transition policies for women in rural areas who need resilient agricultural techniques to deal with climate change – and crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic
