As a Knowledge Management, Communications, and Policy Advisor at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Vera Onyeaka-Onyilo supports initiatives to improve smallholder farmers' food security and incomes, especially women. In addition to collaborating on projects with external stakeholders, Vera recently conceptualized and facilitated the launch of the Nigeria Agriculture Gender Network for knowledge sharing and policy advocacy. Vera plans to continue building on her previous knowledge and experience, particularly so she can work with the government to reduce the financial credit barriers many women farmers face.
