Tesfanesh Tekehaymanot is a communication-for-development expert. During her career, she has worked on women’s empowerment and social entrepreneurship and managed projects to build the confidence and resilience of marginalized women. Through the GRASP Fellowship, Tesfanesh hopes to build her knowledge of gender-related issues within agriculture, enhance her leadership policy formulation, and improve her influence skills.
Female-led households in Ethiopia are neglected in key agricultural activities, such as access to finance, agriculture inputs, and extension services. At the policy level, I want to challenge this sad situation and influence the shift to focus on empowering and recognizing female heads in agriculture decisions.

Gender constraints that affect agricultural productivity in the labor-intensive smallholder farming systems.
