Rosemary Isoto
Uganda 2022
As a Senior Lecturer at Makerere University’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Rosemary Isoto Emegu relishes the crucial role she can play in shaping young minds – which will ultimately be the decision-makers of tomorrow. As an academic, she is also involved in research designed to help influence agricultural policy. She recently collaborated with the Ministry of Agriculture on a paper regarding the value addition of egg processing. A key interest is how financial policy can better include and support women in accessing credit – an area she is currently focusing on.
“I particularly like working with young people because they are my country's new face and leaders. If I can change the mindset of any of them, I will have changed a whole nation for so many years ahead.”
Area of Focus
Inclusive and gender-responsive financial policies to provide women with the credit they need to boost their productivity
