Rahamata Koudougou
Burkina 2023
Campaigner Laetitia Rahamata Koudougou strives to help women in Burkina Faso understand their land ownership rights and obtain access to land. To help support her goal of attaining improved living conditions for women, she is the chairperson of a consortium of 27 rural women leaders’ organizations. Comprising over 100,000 women members, the consortium aims to acquire land security for rural and peri-urban women. Laetitia believes the Fellowship will offer her significant learning opportunities in developing projects that will help transform the lives of rural women working in agriculture.
“As a consortium, we aim to conduct nationwide research on women in agriculture, and I believe this Fellowship will contribute to my ability to lead the study.”
Area of Focus
Women’s participation in decision-making, enhancing the gender perspective in agriculture policy, and management of land conflict
