Madalitso Gwededza
Malawi
2024
As a field officer, Madalitso’s work involves mapping out community challenges and opportunities in existence to spearhead the delivery of interventions that directly impact the smallholder farmers' productivity such as using new modern technologies: disease and drought-resistant crops, crop diversification, increasing access to certified seeds among smallholder farmers, addressing issues to do with gender inclusion in land ownership which favors men compared to women. She also ensures women and youth empowerment through access to creative loan interventions which allows women-led village banks to have access to financing that boasts their share of business capital thereby ensuring access to finance without collateral provided as a village bank among communities in Malawi.
This is a rare opportunity to connect, learn, aspire, and grow through leaders of change and impact across the globe, which builds the leadership and hunger to influence our communities positively through impacting skills and knowledge on those ahead.
Area of Focus
