Treasure Lilian
Nigeria
2022
As an Agribusiness Lecturer at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture in Abia State, Treasure Lilian is keen to pass on her extensive knowledge and skills to the younger generation. However, her post has also afforded Treasure opportunities to partake in research programs – such as one designed to increase the uptake of iron- and vitamin A-rich staple crops. After recognizing gender inequality issues within agriculture, Treasure decided to pursue a PhD in Gender-based Inequalities and Violence – which is also her policy focus. With Knowledge and skills from the GRASP program, she hopes to develop her research and leadership skills to effect positive changes within the agrifood system.
“I believe the Fellowship will help me become a confident researcher, skilled in leading transformative changes in the agrifood system through equity, empowerment, and effective rural pilots.”
Area of Focus
Gender-based inequalities and violence
