Carolyn Munthali
Malawi
2022
Captivated by her studies, Carolyn Munthali graduated in 2020 with a Master’s degree in Aquaculture at Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources and aims to pursue a PhD in Environmental Policy. Carolyn currently works as a Principal Fisheries Officer at the government’s Department of Fisheries, where climate change and policy are particular areas of interest. Carolyn believes that, after completing the GRASP Fellowship, she will be empowered to find interventions for scaling up initiatives in the fisheries sector to reach more actors.
“I want to use the skills I gain through the GRASP Fellowship to make a difference in my country by helping fishing communities develop resilience and the adaptive capacity to climate change shocks.”
