Estelle Rolande Herimpitia Antilahy obtained an MSc in Economics from the Faculty of Law, Economics, Management, and Sociology at the University of Antananarivo in 1998. She continues to combine her studies with fieldwork in rural communities in Madagascar. As a Consultant in Development Economics, she travels throughout the country to evaluate development programs and carry out studies concerning strategies to combat poverty and promote food and nutritional security. She aims to develop methods and procedures to highlight local dynamics and promote genuine rural development.
I want the product of my intellectual endeavours to have the strongest impact possible. University research rarely gives rise to public policy that can positively change the livelihood of people in poverty
Area of Focus
The design and evaluation of development projects and programs, development planning and strategy, rural economy, local governance, analysis of public policies.
