After beginning her career in the development sector, Aisha Hadejia quickly understood the importance of preventing issues rather than addressing them when they arise – so she decided to move into the business side of food and agriculture. In her role as Associate Partner at Sahel Consulting Agriculture and Nutrition Ltd., Aisha works closely with policymakers to help strengthen their knowledge and capacity. A particular focus is on addressing gender bias within agriculture – and she is working to harmonize policy creation and implementation to enhance the role of women in the sector.
