As the Gender Research Associate, Israel works with the PROSSIVA project team to conduct innovative gender research to address social bottlenecks constraining the development of vegetatively propagated crops (including banana, cassava, and yam) seed systems in target countries. This also includes working with the project team to apply a gender lens to the overall project execution of innovative research to ensure that women and other disadvantaged populations get equal opportunities to participate in project work and to ensure that project teams avoid intentional and unintentional bias.
