Mozambican Women in Agriculture Research and Development (MozaWARDis a Mozambican chapter of AWARD that seeks to empower agricultural communities. MozaWARD aims to support mentorship of young women in agricultural sciences, improve the visibility and successful careers in agricultural research and development. Mozambican women are less competitive in agricultural sciences when compared to other women scientists in the region and institutional leadership is missing to support career development and expand the professional opportunities for women. MozaWARD seeks to foster dialogue among women scientists, improve visibility and support institutional leadership with gender lens. MozaWARD consists of 57 members (Fellows, Mentors and Fellows’ Mentees). MozaWARD envisions women empowered to boost agricultural development in Mozambique.
