Ngwira Kamwana is an agronomist specializing in sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture. She focuses on climate-smart agriculture, sustainable intensification of mixed farming systems, and crop improvement for smallholder farmers. She coordinates crop-livestock integration trials to enhance productivity and resource efficiency while leading evaluations of legumes such as cowpea, lablab, pigeon pea, and soybean for climate adaptability, yield, and resilience. With expertise in field experiment design, data analysis, and technical reporting, she provides evidence-based recommendations to farmers and stakeholders. She also mentors junior staff, builds farmer capacity, and fosters partnerships to scale innovations that strengthen productivity, climate resilience, and livelihoods.
