Mojisola Esther Ojebode is the firstborn in a family of three girls whose parents were supportive of higher education. An inquisitive child, she remembers wondering how food expiry dates are determined. “I have always loved anything to do with science, and I studied it in the hope that it would enable me to combat environmental issues in my community, such as the pest problem on farms.

Field of Research
I intend to tackle problems facing the agrochemical industry, such as crop-protection agents that are not bioselective.

Mojisola Esther Ojebode, was the top innovator in the agriculture sector of the annual Global Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) Tech-I competition for science and technology entrepreneurs from emerging economies worldwide that was held in the run up to the recently concluded Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), that was hosted in Nairobi, Kenya. She emerged the winner of the 30 finalists drawn from around the world.
