African Women in Agricultural Research for Development (AWARD) partnered with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) to offer a masterclass on the WEAGov tool. The virtual event was attended by 150 participants, including AWARD Policy Fellows and Mentors from the two Cohorts of the Gender Responsive Agricultural Systems Policy (GRASP) Fellowship. WEAGov is designed to help evaluate the extent to which women are empowered across the policy cycle and provides a way for policy practitioners to identify gaps and opportunities to raise women’s voices and agency at different stages of the national policy cycle. The Masterclass is part of AWARD’s interventions to equip participants with information and skills to use various tools in their policy analyses.
