Theme: Challenges and opportunities in achieving gender equality and the empowerment of rural women and girls
This session will highlight the role of gender-responsive agricultural policies in closing the gender gaps in agriculture, generating gains in innovation-driven development, increasing food security, and fostering economic growth. Discussions will highlight how gender-responsive policies can have an enabling effect in fostering more inclusive agriculture and food systems.
The discussions will also illuminate some of the emerging trends in agricultural policies, and the policy options for implementing an equitable food system.
