James John Banda
Malawi 2021
James John Banda is a Research Officer in the Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Forestry and Natural Resources Malawi. He holds a Master of Science from Mzuzu University, Malawi. His research interest is value chain development and postharvest loss reduction, which is relatively new in Malawi. He believes that improved processing technologies are crucial in mitigating climate change impacts on the livelihoods of value chain actors. He has successfully designed and enhanced SMART technologies that operate on renewable energy, including solar. James has five publications in peer-reviewed journals papers and is a reviewer of two international journals.
He endeavors to enhance his sustainable food chain development skills, focusing on product quality and safety while mitigating climate change.
