Women may be the key to tackling the climate crisis. But worldwide, they’re inhibited in action, mitigation, and justice.
Dr. Susan Kaaria, Director of African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD), was a guest on TRT World, unpacking the link between climate change and violence against women. She highlighted the involvement of more women in leadership and decision-making positions as a key intervention needed to offer gendered solutions to mitigating the effects of climate change.
