We are excited to announce our upcoming Women’s Leadership and Management Training Course that will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The training will be hosted by the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and will take place from September 30 to October 6, 2018. Targeting women participants and trainers, the course provides a safe environment where participants can have open discussions about the specific leadership challenges that women face and encourages participants to explore responses that are sensitive to gender and diversity.
The training will focus on building leadership and managerial skills, including sustaining team performance, managing conflict, and creating alliances. Trainers will also work to tailor the course to the individual needs of participants so that they can work through specific challenges.
Women who work for national, regional, and international organizations of agricultural research and development are eligible, pending approval and financial support from their employers or any other funding sources. Staff members from the CGIAR institutions and research programs are especially encouraged to apply.
