Sandrine Urujeni
Rwanda
2023
Sandrine Urujeni has been at the intersection of policymaking and implementation since 2016. Currently chief operations officer at the National Agricultural Export Promotion Board, she coordinates and oversees all operations regarding potential export crops. She also ensures that growers and other stakeholders properly adhere to rules and regulations related to all agri exports. Sandrine is passionate about working on policies that will help transform agriculture from subsistence farming to commercial farming operations. Through the GRASP Fellowship, she hopes to strengthen her skills and experience in policy design to drive positive change.
Our agricultural sector is mainly based on subsistence farming. I always look out for policies that can give us guidance on how to turn smallholder farming into commercial farming.
Area of Focus
