Mercy Kimani
Kenya
2024
As an upcoming community development scholar, Mercy’s interests lie in rural development, food security, and gender. She currently works in a children's office, ensuring child protection policies are enhanced, and collaborates with partner organizations such as Compassion Kenya to empower women, especially women-led families, to provide for their families.
I am keen on the GRASP Fellowship Program since it aligns with my aim of equipping African women with leadership skills that enable them to lead policy change that improves the livelihoods of smallholder women and men farmers.
Area of Focus
Gender-responsive food systems development.
