Hasina Ralalason

2023
An Agricultural Engineer, Hasina Ralalason began her career as a Field Agent at the local level, working closely with producers. Experiencing the realities on the ground and gaining a better understanding of farmers' perspectives enabled her to understand that solutions to agricultural development cannot be purely technical – but must also consider the socio-economic and environmental context. Hasina wants to acquire multidisciplinary and interpersonal skills and is convinced that the GRASP initiative will help her professionalize African women producers’ activities.
Taking gender and other socio-cultural aspects into consideration at the design stage of an agricultural development project is a major factor for its success. We need to consider women in all our activities and ensure that initiatives are specifically designed for them
Area of Focus
The design of agricultural strategies and policies, the empowerment of women and the professionalization of producers
