Florence Nakazi
Uganda
2025 Ms. Florence Nakazi is a Research Fellow at the Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC), specializing in Agricultural Economics and policy analysis across key social sectors. Her work focuses on applied research and evidence-based policy engagement. She leads a study on road infrastructure and food security using Uganda’s National Housing Survey and supports the Regulatory Impact Assessment of the sugarcane sub-sector. Florence has contributed to research on social insurance for farmers, agricultural extension budgeting, and gender statistics. Her work has directly informed policy reforms, including amendments to the Sugar Act. She aspires to pursue a PhD in Agricultural Economics in 2026.
