Clara Chinwoke Ifeanyi-Obi

2022
After completing her post-graduate studies, Clara Chinwoke Ifeanyi-obi took up a place in the Climate Impact Research Capacity and Leadership Enhancement (CIRCLE) program. There, she quickly learned that many farmers are unaware of how interventions can protect their crops from the effects of climate change and that many agriculture policies do not comprise climate-smart components. Clara has also recognized that many climate-related interventions are not gender-responsive – despite the fact women make up a large proportion of the agricultural workforce – and this is an area she plans to tackle during her time as a GRASP Fellow.
“It gives me a huge sense of fulfillment to know that, through my research, initiatives that improved livelihoods have been developed.”
Area of Focus
Gender-responsive climate change adaptation policy
