As a Fisheries Officer, Ms. Anthonia Osamede Osarodion specializes in sustainable aquatic resource management, responsible aquaculture practices, and livelihood enhancement for small-scale fishers, with a focus on women and youth. Her expertise includes environmental standards in aquaculture, with research interests in gender integration and stakeholder participation in fisheries governance. Currently pursuing a master’s in environmental studies, her research focuses on inclusive stakeholder engagement in mitigating pollution from fish processing effluents, particularly in urban hubs like Benin City, Nigeria. She has championed sustainable aquaculture, trained women fish processors in hygienic handling, and facilitated cooperative platforms, improving gender equity in the sector.
