Dr. Richard Miiro is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Extension and InnovationStudies, School of Agricultural Sciences, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda.He has over 20 years of experience as a researcher, trainer, and consultant. Previously,he worked with the Grameen Foundation’s Community Knowledge Workers initiative.He holds a PhD in Agricultural Extension from Makerere University, in sandwich with Iowa State University. He was a fellow of the Norman E. Borlaug Leadership Enhancement in Agricultural Programme (LEAP) attached to the CGIAR’s International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) in Uganda.?He is also a facilitator and a certified MBTI trainer.Dr. Miiro is passionate about gender and nutrition-responsive, climate-smart agricultural programming, and women and youth empowerment.Hebrings to the ATEAM a rich experience in agricultural research, agricultural extension systems, global-level training, dissemination of agricultural technologies, and facilitation of change processes at all levels.
