Hellen Ochieng coordinates AWARD for-pay training activities and partnerships. Her role includes working with the trainers to design training programs, marketing the courses to potential clients, managing contracts and agreements of training consultants, processing Letters of Agreement for partner institutions for training activities. Prior to joining AWARD, Hellen worked as a Partnerships and Capacity Development Program Officer at World Agroforestry (ICRAF). She oversaw the development of partnership management tools and strategies, supported senior managers, scientists, and regional coordinators in building and maintaining relationships with key contacts in government, development, and donor agencies, and developed and managed partnership agreements with a range of institutions, both in the public and private sectors. She also served as a mentor in AWARD’s mentorship program, which aimed to empower young professionals. Hellen has had over 12 years’ work experience in NGOs at a managerial level. Her passion remains to build up, mentor, and encourage young women professionals to achieve their full potential and realize their dreams, hopes, and aspirations. Hellen holds an MEd (Education Administration) from Kenyatta University and an MBA (Strategic Management) from Kenya Methodist University. She is a member of the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
