Dorine is a development strategist with 15 years of experience working in the nexus of science, development and policy. She holds an Executive Certificate in Social Impact Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania, a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a master’s degree in Agricultural Information and Communication Management from the University of Nairobi. Dorine started her career as an agricultural researcher designing and implementing research projects investigating farmers’ adoption of technologies. She has extensive experience in leading and contributing to different facets of agrifood systems, including conducting research and publishing, designing programs to foster research uptake, facilitating private- public partnerships for evidence-based action among others. Passionate about amplifying the voices and stories of African researchers, Dorine has delivered global storytelling events that have galvanized consciousness for change and inspired partners to act toward specific issues including equitable leadership and evidence-based policy making. Dorine is an experienced process facilitator and moderator and has organized and moderated dialogues at the global and continental platforms. She is keen on leveraging the power of evidence to drive social change and she served on the Food System Vision Prize judges committee. She is a board member of the Kenya Network for Dissemination of Agricultural Technologies (KENDAT).
