2025 Martha Nelima Okumu is an Associate Scientist at the African Plant Nutrition Institute, supporting the On-Farm Experimentation (OFE) project to enhance cereal productivity among smallholder farmers through climate-resilient nutrient management. She develops and implements OFE approaches, coordinates data collection, and facilitates knowledge sharing among farmers, researchers, and partners. Her work characterizes farming systems, identifies best management practices, and aims to apply machine learning for spatial and temporal analysis to optimize fertilizer use and mitigate risk in agricultural production.
