Tété Pérugine is in charge of wetland ecosystems at Secours à la Nature / Rescue for Nature in Benin, and a PhD candidate in natural resource planning and management. Her work focuses on mangrove conservation and sustainable management, which are vital for climate change adaptation. She leads projects that integrate research, community engagement, and advocacy, including a gender-inclusive pilot at Ramsar Site 1017. This project has restored over seven hectares of mangroves, enhanced women’s leadership, and increased awareness among women and youth on sustainable environmental governance.
