Dr. Sambou’s work combines scientific expertise and effective strategic management, focusing on sustainable innovation. A researcher at ISRA and based at CERAAS, she runs varietal pre-selection and selection programs, employing modern techniques to develop, maintain, and evaluate populations. Her approach involves rigorously analyzing phenotypic data and exploiting it to meet the challenges posed by food safety requirements. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, Dr. Sambou develops solutions tailored to the growing agro-climatic challenges and the specific needs of producers while at the same time promoting the resilience of agricultural systems.
