Otieno Carren Adhiambo is a Kenyan scientist and academic with a Bachelor in Science, an MSc, and a PhD in Botany (Microbiology). She is currently a lecturer in Botany and Microbiology at Rongo University, Kenya, and serves as an examination coordinator. Otieno is also the focal point for the Biological Weapons Convention and a member of the Review and Ethics Committee for STI mainstreaming. She is a peer reviewer for the African Women in Science and African Indie Publishers. Additionally, she is an active member of African Women for Bioscience, the African Region Network, INWES, and the Biochemistry Biotechnology Professional Society of Kenya. Her research primarily focuses on food security, with a particular emphasis on Plant Pathology, Microbiology, and Climate Change. Otieno is a passionate advocate for the inclusion of girls and women in STEM fields.
