Njehu Jane Mukami holds a Master’s Degree in Plant Ecology from Kenyatta University, Kenya. With a passion for climate change adaptation and mitigation, she specializes in climate-smart conservation, the rehabilitation of natural forests, and enhancing community resilience. Her work involves developing innovative technologies for biodiversity conservation, monitoring carbon fluctuations, and fostering stakeholder engagement. Njehu has led several impactful projects, such as the propagation of Sandalwood for both livelihood and species conservation. Her contributions have earned her multiple accolades, including training on Financing Climate Action by the Australian Government. She currently serves as the Senior Research Scientist at the Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI).
Njehu is a senior research scientist specializing in climate-smart conservation and sustainable practices to address climate change and enhance community resilience.
