Nissily Mushani Mushani is a social scientist and policy researcher with over eight years of experience advancing climate resilience, livelihoods, and gender equality in Africa. She is pursuing a PhD in Development Studies at Maseno University, examining how household adaptation to cyclones shapes food security and income resilience in southern Malawi. Her research and fellowships, including Union for African Population Studies (UAPS)/American Institute for Research (AIR) P3-Africa, Moving Minds Alliance, and the Population Council PERCC Fellowship, comprise disaster risk, child protection, and sexual and reproductive health. With expertise in participatory methods and gender-responsive analysis, she generates evidence to inform inclusive, locally driven climate adaptation and sustainable development strategies.
