Ndoye Mame Sokhatil is currently in the final year of a doctoral programme in plant and microbial biotechnology and plant breeding at the Université Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar, in collaboration with the Regional Centre for Better Adaptaton to Draught (Centre Régional pour l'Amélioration de l'Adaptation à la Sécheresse - CERAAS). From the beginning of her academic career, she has always been particularly interested in climate change issues, which led to her choice of subjects for her Master's and PhD studies. Her thesis focuses on "Identifying root traits that promote phosphorus uptake in millet (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R.Br) using the OpenSimRoot model.”
