Gehfonguh Sharlot is a researcher specializing in the intersection of climate science, epidemiology, and public health. Her work examines how climate variability and change influence the spread of diseases in Africa, from climate-sensitive ones like malaria, dengue, and cholera to others such as Ebola, Lassa fever, and meningitis. Using epidemiological modeling, climate analysis, and machine learning, she designs early warning systems that integrate environmental and health data. Committed to mentoring and global collaboration, Gehfonguh strives to translate research into practical solutions, strengthening the resilience of African communities against emerging and recurring health crises.
