Dorothy Kamasa is the Founder and Executive Director of the Centre for Women and Food Security–Ghana (CeWaFS-Ghana). Her work is at the nexus of climate change adaptation, gender equity, and sustainable food systems. She leads programs supporting over 13,000 smallholder women farmers to adopt climate-smart practices, including solar irrigation, low-emission farming, and agroecology. She co-develops localized adaptation strategies through participatory research and advocates for gender-responsive climate policies. Dorothy also trains grassroots women leaders in climate risk monitoring and spearheads reforestation initiatives. Her current research examines inclusive climate governance, focusing on gender, land tenure, and indigenous knowledge integration.
