The CGIAR Gender Equality and Inclusion Accelerator and African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD), in partnership with the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe), and CIFOR-ICRAF, convened an event to mark this year’s International Women’s Day.  The event was held on March 2, 2026, from 9.30 am-12:30 pm at the CIFOR-ICRAF campus in Nairobi and live-streamed via the AWARD YouTube channel.

Anchored in the International Year of the Woman Farmer, the event spotlighted women farmers’ lived experiences and contributions, while showcasing how researchers and farmers co-create solutions to advance gender-responsive agrifood systems.
